A fast-moving brush fire has consumed over 5,000 acres in the hills just north of Los Angeles threatening homes in nearby communities. At about 4pm on April 17, 2016 the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an auto recycling yard fire at 9128 Tujunga Avenue in Pacoima. The blaze ultimately escalated to a Major Emergency, bringing in over 140 firefighters and consuming hundreds of automobiles.
