"Clybourn I/C" - LAFD Greater Alarm Commercial Structure Fire

At about 11:45pm on December 4th, 2010 first-in LA City Fire Dept. units arrived on scene of a large 100' x 100' single story commercial structure with heavy smoke showing.  A greater alarm response for area stations took only 30 minutes to knock down the fire inside the fortified structure at 8131 N. Clybourn Avenue in North Hollywood.  When the smoke cleared it was discovered that this location was the scene of a large marijuana grow operation.  At press time authorities are still trying to determine if this is a legal grow operation or not.  They are also considering reclassifying this incident as a "vegetation fire" since the majority of the fire involvement was confined to the plants inside.  (Just kidding)
