My name is Craig Durling and I’m a freelance photographer/photojournalist based in Los Angeles, California.  I’ve been privileged enough to have my work published worldwide in newsprint, magazines, advertisements, educational materials and on network television.  When I need a break, I enjoy wildlife and nature photography and I spend hundreds of hours a year on the fire lines of Southern California documenting the heroic efforts of emergency workers in their environment.  Please click the link above or visit firegroundaction.com to see my work with the fire service.

What you may not know is that I produce and host an internet-based talk show (“podcast”) on photography as it relates to the emergency services.  The show is called “Fireground Action Photography” and as I say in the open of every episode, it’s “the podcast produced by and for photographers specializing in emergency service action photography”.  That being said, the show attracts a worldwide audience and can be of interest to anyone with a passion for photography.  You can read show-notes and episodic information here as well as listen to each episode.  You can subscribe to the show for free via iTunes or via RSS.

I also host a Flickr Community of Emergency Service Photographers where contributors can post photos, leave comments and freely discuss various topics related to their craft.  To keep track of what I’m up to visit and subscribe to my MEDIA BLOG (or my JOURNAL for “the other stuff”).

Please wander the site and allow me to share some of my world with you.  Thanks for visiting!
